7th September 2011 Windsurfing: WSM Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F4-7 Surf / Sea State: Messy with big waves Air Temperature: 15C Sea Temperature: warm Weather: cloudy/showery Max Speed: Distance Covered: Whew! A hard session. It was soooooo gusty. I really wish I could have used my 78l board, but with the wind occasionally dropping to nothing, it would have been a dumb move. As it was, I was tail-walking at times, then not enough wind to waterstart at other times. Air time was non-optional: There was often as not a 2m drop off the back the waves over towards the pier. Relaxing it wasn't, but a great day's sailing - apart from losing the chin strap on my ancient Cooper helmet. |
